Headlines

So, I haven't been back for ages. So sorry.

Well last weekend was Easter, and although technically it still is, that was the main event. Anyway, we had our all-night vigil, and I wore my new shoes to it- my first heels (almost 16 and no heels, gosh), which were a bit flapper-style but sort of modern too. I might show a photo of them soon.

Anyway they were quite high and afterwards, when I took them off, I swear I thought I was going to need physiotherapy. They really did hurt that much..

The baptisms were interesting, because Pietro (son of Monica and Pino) panicked at the sight of the water, and because we do full-immersion baptisms, Pietro almost drowned. The priest ducked him under, and he came out, but just as Pietro began to take a breath the priest dunked him again, and a third time, and each time Pietro came up he was gargling and crying. Poor thing! Francesca's brother, Andrea, got baptised too.

It was all pretty good.

Lastly, I'm looking forward to this week because tomorrow, Monday, Bell Shakespeare come to the school to do a workshop, and last time they came it was awesome. So I hope this time it is too!

And on Thursday, Marist is holding a concert as a fundraiser for Father Frank Jones, and most of my friends and I are going! The school only got 100 tickets and I got in early so I got number 9. That was pretty awesauceomely cool.

But unfortunately school generally isn't going so well- we are being bombarded by so many assignments it isn't funny. I'm not handling the work load very well, and so I can't do my best work on all my assignments because of the time frame we're given.

Family/home is quite stressful too, but I'm trying to get as much time away as I can so that I stay sane!

Anyway, hopefully things will get better.

Love,

Catherine

P.S. Photos above are from our History excursion last year- the stairwell in Vaucluse House, and on the way back from Vaucluse house.
